This notice explains how Island Research Labs LLC handles information that could be considered consumer health data under laws such as Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar state statutes. It supplements our Privacy policy; where they differ, this notice governs for that data.
What we collect that could count as health data
- Which research compounds an account has ordered, and in what sizes.
- The company or institution and field of research entered on the account and each order. These are self-declared; we do not check them against any register.
- Nothing else. We collect no health condition, no diagnosis, no biometric data, and no precise geolocation. The one advertising pixel on the site (TikTok — see the Privacy Policy) is configured so it never receives which compounds an account viewed or ordered; it sees page visits and the fact and value of a checkout or order only.
Why we collect it
To take, fill, and support an order; to keep the distribution records a research-materials seller is expected to keep; and to answer questions about a specific lot. Nothing more.
What we never do
- We do not sell this data — not for money, not for anything else of value. If that were ever to change it would require your separate, signed authorization, which we would have to ask for specifically.
- We do not share purchase history — which compounds, which sizes — with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics vendors. With advertising permission, TikTok receives the fact and value of an order, along with the IP address and browser details described in our Privacy Policy.
- We do not build profiles or infer anything about your health from what you buy. These are research-use products; a purchase says nothing about the buyer's health.
Who can see it
Staff filling your order; the payment processor named at checkout (which receives payment details directly and returns only a confirmation); the shipping carrier, which receives a delivery address; and our CRM, which mirrors order records so we can answer support questions. That is the complete list.
Your rights
You can ask us to confirm what we hold, to give you a copy, to correct it, and to delete it — including any consumer health data — and to withdraw consent for any use. Email islandresearchpep@gmail.com from your account address. We respond within 45 days. If we deny a request we will explain why and how to appeal, and you may raise it with your state Attorney General.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept while they are needed for tax, accounting, and distribution-record purposes, then deleted. Marketing-list entries are deleted on request or when you unsubscribe.
