Who can purchase from Island Research?
Purchasing is limited to people 21 or older buying on behalf of a laboratory, company, or institution for research purposes. Checkout requires a research account with a company/institution, a stated field of research, plus a research-use-only acknowledgement and acceptance of the Terms on every order. What does “research use only” mean here?
Every product in this catalog is supplied for laboratory research use only — not for human or veterinary use. Nothing here is intended for consumption, dosing, injection, ingestion, diagnosis, treatment, or any therapeutic purpose. We publish technical, factual product data only.
Are the prices final?
Listed prices are research-use reference prices. Item prices, size variants, bulk discounts, referral codes, shipping, and sales tax are all computed on our servers at order time and shown to you before you pay — the browser never sets a price. If a price changes before you order, the site shows the change; we don't quote one figure and bill another.
Where do you ship from, and where do you ship to?
Orders ship domestically within the United States, with carrier tracking, to US addresses only. Nothing crosses a border and we don't ship to freight forwarders. Details: Shipping policy.
What does shipping cost?
A flat $15. Shipping is free when the order total after any discount reaches $100. Sales tax is calculated from your delivery address at checkout.
How do bulk discounts work?
Bulk pricing is automatic and counts every priced vial in the order, across products: 5+ vials save 10%, 10+ save 15%, 20+ save 20%. Discounts don't stack — if a referral code and a bulk tier both apply, the cart applies the single larger one and says so. The percentage is decided server-side at checkout; the cart shows it live.
Do you accept returns?
Because of the nature of research materials we can't accept returns of delivered goods, except in the situations covered by our Refund & Return Policy (wrong item, non-delivery, orders we cancel). A vial that arrives damaged in transit is reshipped at no charge — see damaged packages.
Where are the certificates of analysis?
Every card shows its certificate status, and the batch verifier confirms any lot number (printed on the vial) is on file before you buy. The certificate itself is issued with your order: once an order is paid, it unlocks in your research account, and the document index lists what is on file. Listings without one say "documentation pending" — no purity values are invented. Bacteriostatic water is a lab supply, is not batch-assayed, and carries no report.
What payment methods do you take?
Major credit and debit cards, plus cryptocurrency (BTC, ETH, USDT and 100+ assets via a hosted invoice). Card details are entered in a secure frame hosted by our payment processor and never touch our servers. Nothing ships until the payment is verified server-side.
Do you have wholesale or referral programs?
Referral: yes — the affiliate program issues codes that give your referrals a discount and pay you a commission on confirmed orders. Wholesale: bulk pricing tops out at 20% for 20+ vials; for larger recurring orders email us.
How do I check an order?
Use the order-status page with the order reference from your confirmation (it looks like
IR-XXXXXXXX). It shows the order state only — never personal or shipping details.
